We did a whole school RE day (incarnation) We looked at the question 'What is the true meaning of Christmas?' Here is the notebook file I used. It was a really successful day and I hope somebody else can use some of it. We made some great adverts as a result of it.

The learning objective is- To explore and discuss religious art There is an activity sheet and resources including a notebook file that forms the whole lesson for you. This is a whole lesson. I used this with a mixed year 5/6 class for an observation by the head and a governor who said the lesson was 'outstanding' in old OFSTED terms! It worked well and the children enjoyed it.

I created this pack to use with my class next week for a whole school RE day with a Christmas theme. It could be done over several lessons though. There is a clear and easy to follow lesson plan. A powerpoint which clearly follows the plan A worksheet There are great creative links to art and design and lots of whole class discussions/whiteboard activities etc. I have just updated this Powerpoint and improved it slightly to use this year with my class across a few days.
